“I was a long-time Pact Coffee subscriber... then I came across Sam at a market. The beans were miles ahead of the coffee I had been using. Needless to say I switched to Rise & Grind... Highly recommend Rise & Grind!”

In 2025, we were crowned Roast Hero Champion at the Fest Best competition — a head-to-head event featuring 10 of Scotland's top roasters. Each roaster had to source and roast a washed process coffee, blind judged by industry experts and the public over a two-day festival. Using this exceptional Yellow Caturra lot, we secured the title, thanks to its incredible clarity, sweetness, and craftsmanship at every stage.
This Yellow Caturra was meticulously hand-picked and sorted to ensure only the highest-quality cherries. After a careful washing process to remove all mucilage, the coffee was sun-dried for 15 days on concrete patios, developing its vibrant, clean profile.
Produced by Hector Saavedra and a collective of 10 farming families in Peru, this coffee represents more than just quality — it's the product of a vision. Hector, who has been the driving force behind his family's coffee production since childhood, leads initiatives that are transforming farms into authentic agritourism destinations, offering visitors experiences like coffee auctions. His commitment to sustainability and community prosperity shines through in every cup.
