High on the mist-covered slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda, Bukonzo Dream is a coffee born from trust, patience, and partnership.
When Agri Evolve first began working in the region, the established tradition was for farmers to process their own coffee and sell it as DRUGAR (Dried Uganda Arabica). Purchasing freshly harvested cherries instead required something far more valuable than infrastructure — it required belief. Through steady relationship-building with respected members of the local coffee-growing communities, Agri Evolve earned that trust.
The farmers who grow this coffee belong to the Bakonzo tribe, whose homes and farms cling to the fertile mountainsides of the Rwenzoris. Bukonzo Dream is named in their honour — because without the Bakonzo people, there would be no Bukonzo Dream.
By carefully selecting and centrally processing freshly picked cherries, Agri Evolve can highlight the extraordinary character of this high-altitude terroir. The result is a cup that is vibrant yet elegant:
-
Strawberry sweetness leads the way, ripe and juicy.
-
A delicate rose tea floral note brings refinement and lift.
-
Smooth marzipan adds a rounded almond sweetness to the finish.
Silky in texture with a refined acidity, Bukonzo Dream is a celebration of collaboration — a coffee that reflects both the unique landscape of the Rwenzori Mountains and the shared vision between producers and processor.
